Course Overview
This course covers Working Safely at Heights in resources and infrastructure industries such as civil construction, coal mining, drilling and metalliferous mining. The course is delivered via theory and practical components with content covering:
- Identifying the work requirements
- Legislation and Regulation and Standards
- Work procedures and instructions for the task
- Accessing, installing and correct use of equipment
- Performing work at heights
- Cleaning up the work area
Eligibility and Target Audience
There are no prerequisites for this course.
The course is relevant to those who work at heights and use safety harnesses and fall arrest equipment or those that are required to supervise others that work at heights.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of both theory and practical components, participants will be deemed competent and will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a course Competency Card.
